Wall sculptures: Sacred Heart, Our Lady of Fátima, S. Francisco de Paula and Santa Teresinha

On the walls of the body of the church, as well as the main chapel, a marbled decoration in soft blue and brown tones predominates, where four sculptures stand out, in symmetry, which are related to Catholic symbolic imagery: Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Fátima, Santa Teresinha de Jesus and São Francisco de Paula. The first three sculptures are based on “art deco” style pedestals.

The image that represents the Sacred Heart of Jesus is on the Gospel side. It is a polychrome ceramic sculpture, from the 20th century.

On the side of the Epistle, in symmetry, we find the image of Our Lady of Fátima. It is a carved and painted wooden sculpture, in full form, from the second half of the 20th century.

Further down, and still on the wall of the body of the Church, we can see the image of St. Francis of Paula, on the Gospels side, and of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, on the Epistle side.
